It all started in 1989 when a frozen pizza vendor left an opening at the St. Jacobs Farmers Market. At the time, Sue (also known as “Suzie”), Pizza Junction’s owner, was working as a cook at “Country Cravings” and had worked in the restaurant industry for most of her life.
Perusing the opportunity to run her own business, she and Dave opened “Suzie’s Snicks and Snacks” in 1989. This was later renamed, “Pizza Junction,” in 1992.
From the very beginning, Sue embraced the challenge to create a product that would be unique to the market and unique from any other pizzerias.
And so the Pizza Junction reputation continues.
As a result of Sue experimenting with different flours and dough combinations for the base of our pizza, Pizza Junction has created a wonderful base that consists of a combination of pizza dough and bread dough.
The dough looks thick but it is light and fluffy to ensure an excellent product for our customers.
Sue has also tested and tried many different varieties of pepperoni, other meat toppings, and tomato sauces that would best accomplish a pizza that would remain consistent in quality and completely delightful to the palate.
